It depends on the card.
In the picture above ( the V5-5000 ) the rev. number in on the front under the left VSA-100.
The pcb number is on the back...

Well thanx for your nice replies Rolo [8D] Well I came up on something, though,

If you get the PCB number of any Voodoo, for example your Voodoo4-2 4800 AGP Rev.A0 4100 and if you look at the PCB nmber 4100, I was thinking that the numbers 41 of the PCB number 4100 is the week number and the numbers 00 of the PCB number 4100 is the year number, so which means, that your Daytona card is from week 41 of the year 2000 :)

Your Voodoo5 6000 Rev.A 3700 is from week 37 of year 2000.  My Velocity 100 Rev.A0 3399 is from week 33 of the year 1999 and so on.[:o)] It was fun to find out what all of those numbers really mean, it does make sense though[:I]

Yes, this could be true.
Would be interesting to know what rev. number is on the rampage card...

well I think that the rampage has the latest Rev & PCB number there is.

I think that the 3dfx Spectre 1000 AGP 32MB DDR is a Rev 5100 A0 that it is from Week 51 of the Year 2000, the last week of 3dfx's exsistance.

What also shocked me was my Voodoo3 3000 PCI 16MB SGRAM edition.

If you look at a normal Voodoo3 3000 PCI it looks like this:

But my Voodoo3 3000 PCI 16 MB SGRAM Edition looks like this!  :

and as you can see: http://images.google.nl/images?q=Voodoo3+3000+Pci&svnum=10&hl=nl&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=20&sa=N and then klck and enlarge this picture: voodoo3-3000-pci-2.jpg
800 x 571 pixels - 75k
this SGRAM Edition has a very late Rev & PCB number: Rev 4600 D  this one is from week 46 of the year 2000, but the one I have is a Rev 1700 D it is from week 17 and from the year 2000 then I suppose that the letter "D" must mean that it is a fourth revision of that type or model Voodoo3 3000 based card. so if there was a letter "C" in the phrase Rev 1700 C, it would of been from week 17 of the year 2000 and also a third revision of that type ;)

This is lot's of fun finding out. Your Voodoo5 5000 AGP Rev 3700 A0 is then from week 37 of the year 2000 and an early first revision of that type of card, get it![:o)] If it was an A1, then there maybe some minor changes in the design. Like those Rev 3300 A1 & A2 models of that AGP x4 5500 :)

@ Obi-Wan
I am now convinced that you are right.
I checked the Q3D Raven, its pcb rev. 9837, that means week 37 of 1998.
And there is a big picture of the rampage, its rev. A1 on a 4700 pcb.

@ red_martians, well that means that your Voodoo3 3000 AGP is from week11 of the year 2000 and also it has a letter "C" on the top PCB so it must be a thirf revision of that type. that is what your rev number should explain. 3dfx Voodoo3 300 AGP 16MB + TV-Out Rev 1100 C"

@ Rolo01 that's strange... your Q3D Banshee Raven has a Rev nmber of 9837 that's just the other way around that 3dfx does the numbering. normally you would expect 3798. any way that is indeed from week 37 of the year 1998 :) good go'n there mate [8D] but that Rampage is pretty late indeed, week 47 of the year 2000. that is pretty late just before thier dissaperence. Poor little buggers. [sorry about my Australian there [^][8D]]

hmmz that's funny though, your V5 5500 Mac Rev 2800 A  is not a V5 5500 Mac Rev 2800 A1, Nice though to have one of those. I was wondereing if there was an enginering sample of a PC version of the 5500 PCI with DVI and TV-Out. That would rule dude! :D :D :D
