Aquanox with V3 on Windows 2003?

Is it possible to run Aquanox with an Voodoo3? Actulay I have seen a "glide games" list on this forum and Aquanox was there... but whem I start the game i see a dialog "This application need's DirectX 8 or better."

So.. Is there REALLY any way to play using Glide?[8)]

I'm using the new SFFT Alpha 35 driver's.

well,voodoo3 is below the minimum requirements,and if the game doesnt run with SFFT driver,there isnt much you can do..
I dont think the game supports glide,must be an error or something.

Aquanox is a game DirectX 8., forgot Glide and OpenGl.

-> Lediglich die Voodoo5500 entspricht den Spezfikationen von AquaNox. Die Voodoo 3000-Treiber unterstützen zahlreiche von AquaNox benötigte DirectX8-Funktionen nicht.

Problem known  
- Voodoo3 problem
-> only the Voodoo5500 meets the specifications of Aquanox. The drivers of the Voodoo3 3000 don't support support several DirectX8 functions, which Aquanox requires.

Frankly, i don't think that the problem is the driver (a Voodoo 5 is supported) but rather the hardware.

Ehm, 16 MB AGP2X Video Card or better
That remembers me GTA3... (the game would need 16 mb of "pure" texture memory but the V3 has 16 mb for frame buffer And textures).

Try to set your desktop color depth to 16-bit color and resolution to 640*480 or 800*600.

But if that doesn't work and (or) if the game needs large textures ( > 256*256), then the game is a no-go for the V3.
