Thanks ArchAngelCD. But I've already had this package. Can you tell me what I have to do to compile the sources, because I don't know. Thanks. If you don't want to explain it here, send me another e-mail.

PanoramixDruida,
I'm sorry, I don't know a lot about programing but I think the drivers are compiled with Asemmbler, but I'm not sure.

Nightbird,
We were talking about a few things off the board through email because what I was talking about product that isn't public domain. I didn't want to be disrespectful to this board and talk about it here.

-edit
I asked around and the drivers are compiled mostly in C/C++. You can use the complier that comes with MS Visual Studio 6.0 or a similar package.

Yes Arch, I know I have to use C/C++. What I don't know is where I have to point to execute the nmake... command.

ArchAngelCD

I'm sorry but that's as far as my programing knowledge goes.
Good luck,
Tony

To GLIDE:

Hello and thanks for support 3dfx users.

I still want to know more about progress on Amigamerlin 3.0. Does it solve problems with FSAA modes 4x and 8x on V5 6000 in W2K/XP? What tricks do you use for better performance on games like UT2003 which need T/L support? Who is the head programmer of this set of drivers? Do Koolsmoky still work on them?
AthlonXP 1.86GHz@2.2GHz (barton), 1024MB PC400 RAM,MSI KT6-Delta LSR,
Voodoo5 6000 rev. 3700 A1 + Voodoo4 4200 AGP(Daytona) and many more...

Is there any chance that these drivers will work on a multi-processor machine, none of the ones that I have tried seem to work on mine.

Where can I get my ticket for the unveiling ceremony?

Just recently reading some threads over at NTFS forum about the hullabuloo regarding Nvidia drivers and recent critical update with MS.  I appreciate the testing process and fine tuning.  And to say thanks.  Knowing there are no corporate kingpins knocking on your doors pressuring you to put out 3.0 unlike the "drive-thru" Nvidia world that put out drivers to fix drivers that weren't tested properly.

Black_Out

You have a point there bareznacoff, at least when the 3.0 dirvers (as well as future releases of the driver) are made avalible for download, they will be properly tested and not rushed in any way so that everything works as they intended and it is a quilty driver set unlike ATI, Nvidia, etc. where they are rushed by deadlines and must meet ceratin dates for relesing their drivers.

I write here to respond to all the question.

Develompent team:
In the team there are many member including daniel borca, colourless, kooslmoky, hank semenec, Sandro S. Andrea P. etc.

Development driver:
Driver still in beta stage: Beta 4 is out and Beta 5 is coming.
Major bug fix was done like fixing the 2xfssa with voodoo5 6000 and major speed improvment in many games.
All FSAA mode now works without freeze !! Enclave and chaser now start and are playable; GTA3 Vice City is really fast with voodoo 5 6000 and is playable with FSAA 4x Too.

Please refere to this section to see many screenshot that was taken with voodoo5 6000 and new Amigamerlin's 3.0 beta and how perform.

I am using a twin Pentium III 533 MHz Supermicro system, with a Voodoo 5500 AGP card, and DirectX 8.1 build 4.08.01.0901. The machine has 1 Gigabyte of RAM. I am running Windows 2000 with service pack 2. When using DxDiag, there is no DirectDraw or Direct3D Acceleration detected. When running the DXSDK samples, some of them give up reporting wait for Vsync not supported. The Direct3D sampels don't work as they can't find an adapter. I have tried compiling the driver source and adding diagnostics, the IRQ information that is passed in looks sensible, IRQ 16 level triggered shareable, which is what is shown in control panel. The GetDriverInfo2 primitive is never sent to the driver, although other primitives are. Some of the samples work ok, and Glide sort of works with Quake2.

Just to confirm the problems described exist with the Amigerlin 2.5 Driver. I get hangs in the games, IL2 Forgotten Battles, tends to be unpalyable at any resolution and hangs.

Are the SLI issues on the V56k taken care of? I don't have on atm, but I might be getting one. And also, might there be a compat. list floating around anywhere?
