I am impressed by the result of my V2 SLI when playing this game~~
very smooth and with high details(1024X768), better than my Celeron 450 + 256MB PC100 SDRAM + Onboard or R7000VE PCI (can only play at 800X600 mid detail, otherwise lag~~)
actually the performance can compared with my uncle's Celeron 700 + GeForce 2 MX 400 + 128MB PC100 SDRAM

I am using :
K6-2 400
128MB 70ns EDORAM
S3Trio 64V2/DX
V2 SLI

I wonder what kind of engine does this game uses (DirectX? OpenGL? or even Glide? i dunno)

it's a good experience for a first time user who have voodoo

but i can't get the DirectX to OpenGL wrapper to work as i wanna run 3D Mark 2001 to see what kind of stuff it can display, but it just halt there:
windows XP Pro
Fastvoodoo2 4.0 XP
MESA FX 6.0
Direct3d to OpenGL wrapper ver 0.9
without that wrapper, 3DMark won't run...
No way a 3DFX collector...just a 3DFX die Hard Player~~

let the VooDoo Roars!!

P4 Extreme Edition 3.4GHz
Asus P5AD2 Deluxe i925x
2GB DDR2 667 DDRRAM
Voodoo 5 5500PCI

DirX and Glide.

You need to know that the game was coded for 3dfx cards and some other cards (old now...) so if you run the game with a GF or an ATI card (more recent), that will be in software mode or in D3D mode in low resolution (800*600 16 bits depth) (if i remember).

yeah you are right, i can't run it using Radeon 9100VE

but my friends wanna play this game online as their systems just have GF2MX and TNT2 using Athlon/PIII

now i can enjoy the game with them smoothly~~too good

the most weird thing is that this game is a bundle version with gigabyte's GeForce 2 MX (and i flash it to GF2MX 400). because my uncle don't play games using his computer(the one with GF), i take it and have some fun~~

Though i'm not a Nvidia user, i know that it was possible to tweak the game engine for the GF2 Mx.

Edit : don't know if your mobo can support it, but you will get perhaps more performance with a K6 - 3

thanks for your idea, but a K6-3 is instead a very rare and expensive stuff in Hong Kong (K6-2+ and K6-3 are priced the same as a brand new Celeron D).. but for K6-2 and PIII/Celeron IIs the story is different.

anyway that's alright, i won't play it onj this old system long as i will move the V2s to a P4 system when i get my DDRRAM and CPU heatsink as promised~~(it is just like a piece of scrap right now as no necessary parts~~)
i think the performance K6-2 is not optimal for V2, so there is still a lot of room to improve....then i can enjoy it more~~
(now i can only play single player mode because the game lags when computer players are there~~
