Anyone interested to sell a V56k to me?

I'm building a retro computer and being a 3Dfx freak makes me want to own a 6000.

So anyone, price ideas?

Have you found the board that suits you best gdonovan?
Not yet, been busy playing with Mercury this week.

I need to find a KT-333 board that supports a 3000+ Barton, just have not had the time. A new one would be best, not many vendors selling them though.

I have a nice rack-mount case picked out for it already =)

The ASUS A7V333-R support Barton 3000+ with Bios 1017. The one I have now is a Rev.1.04 with Bios 1017, and a 333Mhz FSB 2700+ and the Barton 3200 is also possible but then with a 333Mhz FSB. 256 & 512KB cashes are fully compliant with Bios 1017. ;)

here's one :) http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1244&item=6727558240&rd=1#ebayphotohosting

V5 6000 doesnt boot in that mainboard, it was tested by Cosworth6K.

Won a Ultra 2 with raid today on Ebay, now to wait 2+ weeks for it to show up.

Best ram for this board?

Question- Will the Ultra 2 boot up with a Barton 3000+ if it doesn't have the most current bios? Or just not display CPU correct? I hate to buy a slower CPU just so I could flash the board.

If the board doesnt support the 3000+ It will work with Athlon 1400 speeds I think. But maybe the board doesnt need to be flashed at all. I only have the first MSI and that one does need to be flashed to support the 3000+. I think that 1024 MB of DDR333 will be more than enough to support you v5 6000, at least it worked good enough for me.
Good luck ;)

Another question for MSI Ultra 2 owners- Is the board picky about ram? Which Barton 3000+ to choose from? I checked NewEgg this morning and there is 3 different Barton 3000+ cpu's! I assume one of the 266 or 333 bus units have to be used.

Been years since I have run an AMD CPU, sorry for all the questions!
