Palit Microsystems ha annunciato di recente la video card GeForce GTX 780 Ti JetStream, una soluzione non reference che garantisce agli utenti un livello di performance superiore a quello tipicamente ottenibile con una GeForce GTX 780 Ti standard.

Il core grafico della gpu GeForce GTX 780 Ti di NVIDIA è stato configurato, infatti, con una frequenza di base pari a 980MHz, che risulta essere quindi notevolmente superiore al corrispondente valore reference, pari a 876MHz.

Anche il valore massimo della frequenza di clock raggiungibile con GPU Boost è translato di conseguenza verso l'alto, e pari a 1046MHz. Il frame buffer, implementato con 3GB di RAM G-DDR5, opera invece a 7GHz, e dunque in maniera pienamente aderente alla specifica prevista per il design reference.

Al fine di supportare l'operatività di tipo "factory-overclocking" della sua GeForce GTX 780 Ti JetStream, da un lato, e consentire ulteriori boost prestazionali on demand, dall'altro, Palit ha sovradimensionato sia lo stadio di alimentazione che il sistema di raffreddamento.

La potenza elettrica assorbita dalla PSU attraverso due connettori PCI-E a 8-pin viene infatti inviata a un circuito che utilizza un PWM a 8 fasi e componenti discreti DrMOS, mentre il cooler utilizza tre ventole (due laterali da 8cm e una centrale da 9cm), cinque heat pipe e una sezione di base (a diretto contatto con la gpu) in rame.

Il kit di connettori di uscita della video card GeForce GTX 780 Ti JetStream di Palit, il cui livello di overclocking può essere innalzato via software dall'utente mediante l'applicazione ThunderMaster, include due porte DVI, una HDMI e una DisplayPort.
