Kingston ha annunciato i nuovi moduli di memoria RAM ad alte prestazioni denominati Kingston HyperX Predator. Le nuove soluzioni arricchiscono la linea HyperX e, in virtù della elevata frequenza di clock, delle basse latenze e della grande capacità di memorizzazione, rappresentano una opzione di scelta interessante per gli utenti "enthusiast" e "overclocker".
Disponibili in kit da due o quattro DIMM, con capacità pari a 8GB, 16GB e 32GB, le nuove memorie RAM Kingston HyperX Predator, che vantano tra l'altro la certificazione per la tecnologia Intel XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile), presentano una frequenza di clock che, a seconda del modello scelto, può valere 1600MHz, 1866MHz, 2133MHz, 2400MHz o 2666MHz.
Il valore del timing CL, naturalmente crescente con la frequenza di lavoro, è pari a 9 per le varianti che operano fino a 1866MHz e a 11 per le rimanenti. In accordo a Kingston, questi moduli sono stati progettati per lavorare con le piattaforme basate sui chipset P55, H67, P67, Z68, H61 (AG) e Z77 di Intel, e A75, A87, A88, A89, A78 e E35 (Fusion) di AMD.
Al momento i moduli Kingston HyperX Predator con frequenza di clock pari a 2666MHz non sono ancora sul mercato, mentre, analizzando gli MSRP degli altri, quelli più costosi risultano essere quelli con capacità di 32GB e frequenza di clock pari a 1600MHz. In tal caso il kit composto da quattro unità ha un MSRP pari a $338 per il mercato U.S..
