Electronic Arts ha pubblicato i requisiti minimi e quelli consigliati per l'esecuzione del suo prossimo racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit in versione per PC (sono presenti di seguito nella lingua originale, ndr). Le specifiche richieste per ottenere un gameplay di buon livello includono una cpu di classe Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.6 GHz o AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ e una video card basata sulla gpu NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT o ATI Radeon HD 4700.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit è stato sviluppato dalla presso gli studi di Criterion Games, la software house che sta lavorando a tre edizioni del titolo per il supporto dedicato delle piattaforme Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 e Xbox 360 (su una quarta edition per la console Wii di Nintendo, la cui data di rilascio non è stata ancora resa nota, è al lavoro Exient, ndr).
Il game, che includerà soltanto una modalità single-player e supporterà i display 3D in abbinamento alle piattaforme PC e PS3, sarà disponibile a partire dal prossimo 16 novembre negli U.S. e dal successivo 19 novembre in Europa. La demo per PC sarà distribuita dal publisher Electronic Arts a partire dal prossimo 26 ottobre.
