Milano, 24 giugno 2009 - Western Digital (NYSE: WDC), leader mondiale nelle soluzioni di storage, ha presentato il nuovo My Book World Edition II, sistema storage di rete dual-drive con capacità di 2 e 4 TB, che va ad affiancare il My Book World Edition lanciato in febbraio.

Dopo gli ottimi riscontri ottenuti dal My Book World, WD ha voluto offrire agli utenti più esigenti una soluzione con maggiore capienza, flessibilità e protezione. Il nuovo My Book World II, compatibile con Mac e Pc, offre funzionalità di back up continuo per tutti i computer che condividono una stessa rete, si tratti di uno studio professionale, di un video maker o di una famiglia nella quale ci siano grandi quantità di dati da salvare regolarmente, quali video in alta risoluzione e musica. Il tutto con la sicurezza garantita da due dischi Mirrored (RAID 1).

Secondo un rapporto di Park Associates, in tutto il mondo le famiglie dotate di una propria rete dati cresceranno dai 170 milioni del 2008 ai 240 milioni del 2012. With the double protection of two Mirrored (RAID 1) drives and continuous backup software, the My Book World Edition II network storage system provides an extra-safe place for users to back up and store the data and digital media from all the computers on their network in one central location.
