Official high-level hack adds first-person mode to whole The Evil Within 2
Bethesda Softworks and Tango Gameworks, respectively publisher and developer of survival horror videogame The Evil Within 2, sequel to the 2014 title The Evil Within, have listened the requests of fans and so have extended the first-person mode to all areas of the game. In fact, at first this mode was limited only to a specific part of the game's story.
All owners of The Evil Within 2 - this title has been released worldwide on October 13 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One - can download a
free update and play the whole game in first-person using their preferred gaming machine.
According to official press release, if you haven't (still) The Evil Within 2, just you can you can download the Free Trial and play through the
opening chapters of the game: of course all saved data will carry over if you choose to upgrade to full game.
On the other side, if you already have The Evil Within 2, can simply to enable the first-person mode flipping a switch in the game menu: more in details, browsing "General" tab of "Options" item, you can activate new first-person mode.
Bethesda highlights also that The Evil Within 2 wasn't designed as a first-person game, so it cannot put in comparison with native FPS as DOOM or similar. However new mode is rather a "high-level hack" (there were some scenes where it doesn't work) that adds an enjoyable experience for players.
