Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, MSI ha annunciato due nuove scheda grafiche high-end appartenenti alla linea N200, siglate rispettivamente MSI N280GTX OC HydroGen e MSI N280GTX-T2D1G Super OC.

La MSI N280GTX OC HydroGen è video card basata sulla gpu NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280, contraddistinta fortemente dall'adozione di un cooler a liquido, che ne permette, da un lato, l'operatività a una temperatura che è di 10°C più bassa di quella raggiunta nelle medesime condizioni di utilizzo (pieno carico, ndr) da una GeForce GTX 280 equipaggiata con un cooler reference, e, dall'altro, l'innalzamento della freqeunza di clock del core grafico fino a 700MHz. E, nonostante tutto, la card è una single-slot, il che la rende idonea anche per le configurazioni multi-gpu.

Un analogo boost frequenziale può vantare la MSI N280GTX-T2D1G Super OC, la quale è però dotata di un cooler ad aria ed è dunque una dual-slot. In accordo ad MSI, il guadagno prestazionale offerto dal regime di overclock stabilizzato imposto alle due schede grafiche è dell'ordine del 17% rispetto alle GTX 280 reference, come la stessa MSI N280GTX.

Via the massive contact surface increase brought by micro channel technology, MSI N280GTX OC HydroGen series successfully runs the world highest core clock setting at 700MHz, but surprisingly has 10° lower temperature level than normal fan cooling GeForce GTX 200 series even at full workload. Another amazing thing is that MSI achieves this with only 1-slot thick HydroGen micro channel water cooling tank. This makes a multiple graphics setup in single system possible, even with all the water cooling accessories together.

17% higher than standard version of N280GTX series
