Taipei, Taiwan, Sept. 08, 2006 -- A-DATA Technology is releasing a new 8GB SD High Capacity (SDHC) flash card that redefines the maximum capacity “barrier” of 2GB normally associated with SD cards. These new SD cards are based on the SDA 2.00 specification introduced by the SD Card Association and are designed to support high-end photo, video and music SDHC-compatible devices. High speed, lightweight, compact and offering the highest SD card storage available, these cards open new doors for peoples’ active digital lifestyles.

A-DATA’s super 8GB SDHC cards utilize a FAT 32 (vs. FAT16 for SD) file system that can support capacities from 4GB to 32GB and still meet the SD transmission standard. The cards feature excellent read and write speeds up to 20 MB/sec, low power consumption, and an anti-write protection switch. They will support an array of mobile devices ranging from phones, MP3 players and PDAs. The new cards’ fast write speeds cater to continuous high-speed shooting common with camcorders and DSCs, and nicely support notebooks and other small devices. Be sure to look for the SDHC logo on cards and devices for compatibility assurance.

A-DATA is once again taking the leading position in the market with these new cards, providing customers with the newest and best storage technology. Look for the new cards in all A-DATA sales channels in Q4.
