Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, il produttore di memorie DRAM Nanya Technology Corporation ha annunciato la commercializzazione di moduli di RAM DDR2 a 800MHz di tipo RDIMM (Registered Dual In-line Memory Module) progettati per l'impiego con i nuovi processori quad-core di core di classe Opteron a 45nm (nome in codice: "Shanghai") lanciati di recente da AMD e dedicati all'equipaggiamento delle workstation e dei server di fascia alta.

I moduli lanciati da Nanya hanno il part number pari rispettivamente a NT2GT72U4PD0BV-AD e NT4GT72U4ND0BV-AD; per entrambi il profilo dei timing principali (CL-tRCD-tRP) è pari a 6-6-6 mentre la capacità di memorizzazione è di 2GB e 4GB.

Nanya’s DDR2 800 RDIMM will power new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor-based platforms. NT4GT72U4ND0BV and NT2GT72U4PD0BV are available now in production quantities. The modules are registered 240-Pin Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) Synchronous DRAM Dual In-Line Memory Module (DIMM), organized as a 2 ranks 512MX72 high-speed memory array and a 1 rank 256Mx72 high-speed memory array. Nanya DDR2 RDIMMs are manufactured using raw cards developed for broad industry use as reference designs. The use of these common design files minimizes electrical variation between suppliers. All Nanya DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs deliver high performance, and it will always give high-end users the ultimate experience.
