MSI ha lanciato la motherboard P45-D8 Memory Lover. Basata sul chipset Intel P45 Express, la nuova P45-D8 supporta i processori Intel Core 2 Extreme e Quad con FSB fino a 1600MHz e i Core 2 Duo. Tuttavia, la caratteristica più interessante di questa scheda è la dotazione di 8 slot per la memoria RAM, in grado di ospitare, in maniera mutuamente esclusiva, fino a 16GB di RAM DDR2, mediante l'utilizzo di 4 DIMM, oppure fino a 8GB di DDR3, ancora una volta distribuiti su 4 DIMM.

La P45-D8 Memory Lover rende disponibili inoltre uno slot PCI Express 2.0 x16, un sottosistema audio HD a 8 canali ed un sofisticato sistema di raffreddamento che fa uso di una heat-pipe che stabilizza termicamente i componenti chiave del sistema, come i chipset North Bridge e South Bridge.

When users want to upgrade the motherboard, they can use the current DDR2 memory to save money as well, also retain the future escalation of the DDR3 memory flexibility. The new MSI P45-8D Memory Lover motherboard is powered by the latest Intel P45 Express chipset. It supports the Intel Core 2 Extreme / Quad and other multi-core processors with an FSB up to 1600MHz. The Memory Identifier is function for digital switch, which provide the best memory transmission signals also upgrade the memory compatibility and performance.
