Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, Acer ha presentato il display wide-screen G24, che è al momento il monitor gaming-oriented numero uno al mondo dal punto di vista del rapporto di contrasto, potendo vantare uno stratosferico 50000:1 in accordo alle misurazioni del produttore.

Questa feature implica la capacità di visualizzare immagini statiche e sequenze di frame con colori particolarmente vivaci e dettagliati, pur avendo una dimensione fisica di tutto rilievo, essendo un 24 pollici.

Che il G24 sia stato progettato per i gamer lo si comprende anche da altre specifiche, che prevedono una risoluzione video consigliata di 1920x1200, un tempo di risposta di 2ms, una luminosità di 400cd/m² ed il supporto delle tecnologie proprietarie Acer CrystalBrite e Acer eColor Management (il suo acronimo è ACM, ndr). Quest'ultima permette la regolazione accurata dei parametri che controllano la resa dei colori, anche in funzione delle riflessioni della luce che sono specifiche dell'ambiente in cui la device è installata.

Acer non ha chiarito però nè la data di lancio dei monitor, che è stato abbinato nella foto che segue al desktop Aspire Predator, nè il suo MSRP.
