Taipei, Taiwan – Micro-Star International (MSI), the world's third-largest mainboard manufacturer, will officially promote its latest high efficiency mainboard series – K9A2GM/VM. The K9A2GM/VM mainboard series utilizes AMD's latest 780G/V chipset which provides full HD, best-in-class 3D graphics performance, enhanced scalability, and "rock-solid stability" for mainstream gaming, multimedia and commercial PC systems.

The K9A2GM and K9A2VM mainboard series consists of seven members: K9A2GM/VM-FIH, K9A2GM/VM-FD, K9A2GM/VM-F V2 & K9A2GM-FIH-S (Solid Capacitor Edition). The K9A2GM mainboard series based on AMD 780G chipset, and the K9A2VM mainboard series based on AMD 780V chipset. These mainboards offer AMD AM2/AM2+ socket supporting AMD Phenom™ Quad Core processor performance and the latest AMD chipsets with graphics core which features full 1080p High-Definition Video in a cost-effective basic mainboard design. It also supports AMD's Athlon™ series processor, HyperTransport 3.0 technology and DDR2-1066 memory. The new integrated graphics processor (IGP) is based on ATI's Radeon™ HD3200/3100 which supports DirectX® 10 and incorporates dual display, integrated DVI, HDMI, and VGA Port providing realistic and truly playable frame rates on some of the latest games titles, without need for installing a discrete graphics card.

The K9A2GM mainboard series also features the latest PCI-Express™ 2.0 bus technology and delivers high performance support for AMD's new Hybrid CrossFireX™, allowing the combination of features or raw horse power from both the onboard graphics and compatible add in PCI-E graphics boards, for the ultimate High-Definition entertainment experience. Moreover, the K9A2GM mainboard series also includes AMD's ATI-sourced Universal Video Decoder (UVD) core which video playback from the CPU to the GPU, so users can enjoy a smooth HD viewing experience. "As we focus on what green living is about, the K9A2GM mainboard series with ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ support allows users to enjoy break-through efficiency with automatic power state adjustment for power savings and multi-display functionality that can help save energy and money." said Vincent Lai, MSI Global Marketing Director.

Support ATI Hybrid CrossFireX Graphics Technology
Based on ATI CrossFireX™ multi-GPU technology, ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ takes your gaming experience to the next level, in a Windows® Vista® environment. The ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ boosts the 3D performance by enabling the chipset's integrated graphics processor and a discrete GPU to operate simultaneously with combined output to a single display for blisteringly-fast frame rates. It also features ATI PowerPlay™ power management technology which is designed to enable power saving profiles that help reduce power consumption when the GPU is idle or in minimal use. This dynamic power management enables the GPU to automatically adjust power between low, medium and high states for power efficiency and performance-on-demand.

Best HD Video Playback
The K9A2GM mainboard series comes with the Unified Video Decoder (UVD) which relieves the CPU from the taxing video decode process and enables time-saving multi-tasking. It handles decoding of H.264/AVC, and VC-1 video codecs almost entirely in hardware. The UVD technology found on the ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 series delivers sharp images and vibrant color fidelity with 1080p playback of Blu-ray and HD DVDs.

The K9A2GM/VM mainboard series is a new entry into the market, based on the micro-ATX form factor. It supports 7.1 Channel format of audio for your listening pleasure and comes with SATA2 connector, IEEE1394, USB2.0 & Gigabit LAN for multimedia devices.
