E' di ASUS la prima gamma di schede grafiche basate sulla potente architettura dual-gpu di AMD la cui denominazione commerciale è Radeon HD 3870 X2. Con il comunicato stama di seguito allegato, infatti, il produttore taiwanense ha reso noto di aver aggiunto al proprio listino di schede grafiche con gpu ATI le device EAH3870X2/G/3DHTI/1G e EAH3870X2/G/HTDI/1G.

Si tratta di prodotti sostanzialmente coincidenti, se non per il numero di porte di I/O, dal momento che la prima in ordine di elencazione è dotata di due connettori DVI aggiuntivi. Sono da sottolineare sia il dissipatore dual-fan, frutto della ricerca ASUS, che la dotazione del bundle, di cui è parte il game DirectX 10 Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts. Le Radeon HD 3870 X2 integrano inoltre 1Gb di RAM G-DDR3 a 0.8ns; tutte le specifiche ufficiali sono incluse nella tabella che segue.
