OCZ Technology Group ha annunciato, mediante il comunicato stampa allegato di seguito, la realizzazione delle memorie DDR2 più veloci al mondo: si tratta dei nuovi moduli della linea PC2-8800 Gold Edition capaci di operare con una frequenza di clock di 1100MHz (cfr. foto seguente).

La nuova soluzione DDR2-1100 di OCZ è compatibile sia con le piattaforme AM2 di AMD che con quelle Core 2 Duo (Conroe) di Intel. Il profilo di timing esibito dalle PC2-8800 Gold Edition, che ricordiamo essere disponibili anche in kit da 2Gb (2x1Gb) per il supporto delle configrazione dual channel, è il seguente: 5-6-6.
