LONDON, UK, March 6, 2006 – HP today announced three new notebook PCs, the HP Compaq nx9420, nx6310 and nc6320, offering mobile professionals a secure, easy-to-use, reliable way of keeping up to speed when away from the office. These powerful notebooks feature the latest Intel® Core^TM Duo processor technology, which increases efficiency by enabling users to run multiple applications simultaneously.

Designed for users needing high performance and widescreen functionality combined with mobility, the HP Compaq nx9420 Notebook PC features a 17-inch widescreen display, Intel® Core^TM Duo processor and powerful 3D graphics to deliver desktop performance on the go. The nx9420 also delivers up to four hours of battery life, which gives users the flexibility to work where they want.

The HP Compaq nx6310 and nc6320 Notebook PCs are designed for cost-conscious professionals who need an affordable mobile office that gives them the freedom to work wherever their job takes them. Weighing just 2.7kgs and measuring only 30.3mm thin, both notebooks offer over four hours of battery life and a choice of the latest processor technologies, including the new Intel® Core^TM Duo processor.

Better battery life is now available with the optional HP Ultra-Capacity Battery – up to 10 additional hours^(1,2). This new 12-cell Lithium-Ion battery works across HP’s line of business notebooks for greater work productivity while travelling. Users can even plug their Smart AC adapter directly into the battery to charge it separately. Also available is the HP Extended Life Battery, an 8-cell Lithium Ion battery that provides up to an additional five hours of battery life^(1,2) with the added convenience of being able to charge the battery while docked. The HP Extended Life Battery is an optimal solution for long meetings and locations where there are limited power outlets.

The HP Compaq nx9420, nx6310 and nc6320 offer the security, ease of use and reliability that characterise HP’s line of business notebooks. Pricing and availability

The HP Compaq nx9420 Notebook PC will be available from mid-March 2006. Entry level pricing and configurations are outlined below.

The HP Compaq nx6310 and nc6320 Notebook PCs will be available early April 2006 (pricing currently not available).

HP Extended Life Battery is available for £95⁽⁶⁾ and the HP Ultra-Capacity Battery is available for £120⁽⁶⁾ starting in mid-April 2006.
