Hardwareoverclock has published a performance analysis of the latest official driver for Radeon cards - ATI Catalyst 6.1 - and the latest Omega 3.8.205 driver - based on 6.1 release - too. The tester used some games (like Far Cry, FEAR and Quake 4) and the 3DMark suite (including the latest 2006 version) as benchmark tools.

The new 6.x of Catalyst, according to the test results, didn't improve the hardware performances.
