L'azienda texana Mushkin ha annunciato la linea di drive a stato solido (SSD) denominata STRIKER che, in accordo al comunicato stampa di presentazione, rende disponibili all'utente prestazioni di primo livello e include varianti la cui capacità varia da un minimo di 240GB a un massimo di 960GB.

Gli SSD STRIKER implementano il form-factor da 2.5-inch e sono basati sul controller Phison PS3110-S10, che gestisce dei chip di memoria NAND di tipo MLC; queste unità sono caratterizzate inoltre da una interfaccia verso il mondo di tipo SATA 6Gbps o SATA III e supportano le tecnologie AES a 256-bit e Opal 2.0 dal punto di vista della sicurezza dei dati.

In accordo al produttore, i drive SSD STRIKER fanno misurare i throughput massimi pari a 565MB/s e 550MB/s rispettivamente nelle modalità di lettura e scrittura sequenziale, mentre il picco prestazionale con accesso random e blocchi da 4K è pari a 90.000 IOPS.
