ASUS ha annunciato di recente il conseguimento di quattro record mondiali conseguiti con l'utilizzo dei benchmark 3DMark di Futuremark a partire da una configurazione hardware che includeva quattro video card di classe ASUS GeForce GTX Titan interconnesse con l'ausilio della tecnologia NVIDIA SLI (four-way).

Il sistema di test, composto anche da una motherboard ROG Rampage IV Extreme della stessa ASUS e dal processore flag-ship Core i7-3970X di Intel, è stato spinto in regime di overclocking; le schede video, in particolare, sono state raffreddate con l'ausilio di un cooler ad azoto liquido.

In tali condizioni, il team di ASUS ha ottenuto, con 3DMark11, i seguenti score, che rappresentano appunto dei record mondiali: 36658 (pre-set Entry), 37263 (pre-set Performance) e 22076 (pre-set Extreme). Inoltre, con il recente 3DMark Fire Strike il punteggio misurato è risultato pari a 21818.

ASUS announced that the ASUS GeForce GTX Titan graphics card has established four new 3DMark world records, supervised by in-house ROG overclocking experts Andre Yang and Shamino. The ASUS GeForce GTX Titan is the most powerful single-GPU graphics card currently available, as demonstrated with record-breaking 3DMark11 scores of 36658 marks in the Entry preset, 37263 marks in the Performance preset, and 22076 marks in the Extreme preset. It has also set a world record of 21818 in 3DMark Fire Strike, the latest and most demanding benchmark from Futuremark.

The new world records
ROG overclocking expert Andre Yang set the new 3DMark11 records using liquid nitrogen-cooled ASUS GeForce GTX Titan cards in a four-way NVIDIA SLI configuration with an ROG Rampage IV Extreme motherboard and an Intel Core i7-3970X processor. The 3DMark Fire Strike world record was achieved by Andre Yang and fellow ROG team member and overclocker Shamino using two ASUS GeForce GTX Titan cards in NVIDIA SLI. This achievement also used an ROG Rampage IV Extreme motherboard and an Intel Core i7-3970X processor.
