28.11.2005 - FireGL V7100 brings a new level of performance to CADstream |
MARKHAM, Ontario -(BUSINESS WIRE - Nov. 28, 2005 - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY) (NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced that its award winning FireGL(TM) workstation graphics solutions have been selected by Confirma, the market leader in computer-aided-detection (CAD) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). FireGL workstation graphics are now being integrated into CADstream, the standard in CAD for MRI. CADstream automates the processing of MRI studies, providing higher quality imaging studies, lower costs for radiology practices and improved communication tools for physicians and patients. CADstream is advancing breast MRI by enhancing efficiency, standardization, access and compatibility of studies. The system automates analysis, reporting and interventional planning of studies and promotes standardization with the incorporation of the American College of Radiology's BI-RADS(R) Atlas. CADstream is designed for any workflow scenario, integrating with existing equipment and providing access to studies anywhere on the network. "CADstream is assisting radiologists to make significant strides in medical imaging," said Paul Budak, Vice President, Research and Development, Confirma. "By integrating ATI's workstation graphics technology, CADstream expands performance by providing the most optimized image processing and visual graphics for higher quality analysis and interpretation." The FireGL(TM) V7100 is part of ATI's Visualization series of workstation graphics accelerators designed specifically for the high-bandwidth PCI Express(R) bus, and is architected to deliver unprecedented speed and superior image quality for real-time visualization - an absolute must in medical imaging. As well, its rich feature set, with 256MB of GDDR3 unified graphics memory, dual link ultra high resolution output, and 16 pixel pipelines with 6 geometry engines delivers outstanding performance. "ATI's FireGL V7100 brings a new level of graphics performance to CADstream for more visual and efficient interpretation for MRI studies," said Dinesh Sharma, Director, Workstation Products, ATI. "The FireGL(TM) V7100 will deliver high-quality renderings to the data being processed by CADstream. We are extremely proud to be working with Confirma in this important and rapidly advancing area of medical imaging." News Source: ATI Press Release Links |
