PNY ha annunciato due nuove schede grafiche di classe NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 equipaggiate con un cooler a liquido (in gergo liquid-cooled, ndr): le nuove video card sono denominate dal produttore XLR8 Liquid Cooled GTX 580 with CPU Cooling e XLR8 Liquid Cooled GTX 580.

Come si intuisce dal nome commerciale, entrambe le schede sono dotate di un cooler a liquido, prodotto da Asetek nello specifico; tuttavia la prima, oltre al radiatore, al dissipatore e alla pompa idraulica, include anche un waterblock per la cpu del sistema a cui è connessa.

Le specifiche delle schede sono per il resto allineate: core, shader e RAM (1.5GB di G-DDR5) lavorano rispettivamente a 857MHz, 1714MHz e 1053MHz (o 4212MHz se si considera il valore effettivo della frequenza di clock), mentre l'interfaccia di collegamento tra chip grafico e RAM è a 384-bit.

Le schede sono dotate di due connettori di uscita DVI e di uno mini-HDMI; la XLR8 Liquid Cooled GTX 580 with CPU Cooling ha un MSRP pari a $649.99, mentre quello della XLR8 Liquid Cooled GTX 580 è pari a $579.99.
