Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, SPARKLE Computer ha annunciato la prima video card DirectX 11 di classe GeForce GTS 450 caratterizzata da un cooler in formato single-slot, che permette l'installazione della scheda in cabinet particolarmente compatti, come quelli degli HTPC.

La nuova GeForce GTS 450 di Sparkle è basata sulla gpu GF106 di NVIDIA (che include 192 stream processor attivi) ed è configurata con 1GB di RAM G-DDR5 collegata all processore grafico mediante un bus a 128-bit.

Il core grafico lavora 789MHz, gli SP a 1579MHz e la memoria RAM a 3760MHz mentre i valori corrispondenti delle frequenze previsti dal design reference sono pari a 783MHz, 1566MHz e 3608MHz. Ne consegue che il prodotto di Sparkle viene commercializzato come una soluzione lievemente "overclocked by factory".

La stabilità della scheda in tali condizioni è resa possibile dal cooler, per l'implementazione del quale Sparkle è ricorsa ad una struttura irradiante di tipo single-slot con alette in rame e due heatpipe, a cui è applicata una ventola 7010 la cui velocità, e di conseguenza la cui rumorosità, è una funzione della temperatura del sistema da stabilizzare.

La dotazione di porte di uscita include una mini-HDMI e due dual-link DVI.
