Microsoft ha pubblicato un aggiornamento finalizzato all'abilitazione dell'accelerazione video tramite DirectX (DXVA) in ambiente Windows XP durante l'esecuzione di file Microsoft Windows Media Video (WMV) con il player Windows Media Player 10 e le recenti video card in grado di utilizzare questa feature.

- The content must be WMV-HD (Windows Media Video High
Definition) clips (720p and 1080p) with a frame rate that is less than
or equal to 30 frames per second.
