At QuakeCon 2016 Tim Willits, director of id Software Studio, has unveiled first gameplay trailer of first-person shooter game Quake Champions. This one is set to
become next entry into the Quake videogame series, and promises to feature the multiplayer version only.
According to Quake Champions presentation posted by the game publisher Bethesda Softworks, the upcoming first-person shooter will bring out "an
arsenal of powerful and unique weapons, each of which will feel familiar to long-time Quake players".
And furthermore, Quake Champions is able to pick up the inheritance from first entries of Quake series because it will be "packed with blazing-fast
action and explosive rocket jumps you know and love".
But, in same time, the new arena-style first-person shooter aims to introduce a lot of improvements and new features including technology-oriented
features like the capability to run at 120Hz with unlocked framerates.
Quake Champions is now under developement at id Software Studio: according to the official scheduling, first closed beta as well as its very fast gameplay are set to
start in 2017. Quake Champions will support Microsoft Windows platform only.
