The publisher Focus Home Interactive as well as the developer Deck13 have released first gameplay trailer of The Surge, their upcoming sci-fi action RPG featuring innovative combat mechanics and a character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through the fighting.

According to the official description of The Surge, posted by its publisher, this game is set on a dystopian Earth nearing the end of its life, and brings out a grim vision of the human future due to the abuse of the environment that has shaped a decadent civilization that now lies on the brink of collapse.

As the intelligence of technology has dramatically increased over the years, many jobs for the human race had been made redundant, forcing the Earth's citizens to go into the suburbs seeking labor, aided by exoskeletons to improve their efficiency.

Focus Home Interactive has promised more information about The Surge over the coming months; at his time we can show you the screenshots and the artworks included in this page, and add that The Surge could be available for the three major gaming platforms (Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One) sometime in 2017.
