ASUS ha annunciato la motherboard di fascia alta Rampage IV Black Edition, una soluzione che implementa il form factor E-ATX e va ad ampliare la linea di prodotti gaming e overclocking oriented indicati dal marketing con il brand Republic of Gamers (ROG).

La ROG Rampage IV Black Edition è basata sul collaudato chipset Intel X79 Express ed è pronta per lavorare con le CPU Intel socket LGA-2011 tipicamente indicate con il nome in codice di Core i7 Ivy Bridge-E.

Oltre alla dotazione di tutte le tecnologie ROG, tra cui OC Panel, una console utente che rende possibile il monitoring in real time e il tuning dell'hardware, la ROG Rampage IV Black Edition vanta l'equipaggiamento con otto slot per DIMM DDR3, in grado di gestire fino a 64GB di memoria centrale, quattro slot PCI-E 3.0 x16 e due PCI-E 2.0 x1.

La nuova motherboard di ASUS è perfetta per l'assemblaggio di configurazioni multi-gpu, incluse quelle che utilizzano le tecnologie 4-way SLI di NVIDIA o CrossFireX di AMD, mentre le prestazioni in ambito audio sono affidate alla tecnologia built-in SupremeFX Black.

The Rampage IV Black Edition's Extreme Engine DIGI+ III voltage-regulator module (VRM) provides highly precise and stable power delivery by employing NexFET MOSFETs, 60A (amp) chokes and high-endurance Japanese-made 10K black metallic capacitors. The motherboard's black-themed heat-sink is exclusively and cleverly integrated with the MOSFET area to extend to the input/output (I/O) cover for even better cooling and stability.
