When i play some 3d games or run intensive cpu applications sometimes windows 2000 pops a bluescreen error, driver IRQL not less or equal, on me. Does anyone know what i should fix or do?

What drivers, which card, what apps, and what are the rest of your system specs? Also, which driver is it specifically? It might not be video related at all.

HI guys :)

- Scoop: a good idea is that you disable not used I/O ports like USB/COM/LPT and verify external devices don't share IRQ number.

Then repeat chip-set motherboard setup with latest official driver that you can download from HWsetup

Well as far as system, i have an amdk6-3 450 on a tyan trinity 100at motherboard with via driver version 4.51. I run windows2k with 20gb western digital hd, 384 pc 100 ram, voodoo3 3500 video card with amigasport 3.0, sound blaster 512pci sound. To the question of irq sharing, nothing in system info shows any irq's being shared. Any other ideas?

Which driver exactly is it? Maybe reinstall the drivers, see what happens.

It doesnt say exactly which driver it is, although it shows some numbers and letters, possibly the memory address. I hate to try and get it to crash again just to get it though.

That's what I was looking for, I overlooked it the first time. Try reinstalling the drivers. You may have to reinstall windows 2000, reinstallation was the only way I could find to fix this error in windows XP.

Ok, well i have reinstalled 2000 and it seems to be more stable, now i only get it if i run spybot search and destroy on the scan mode, so i think i'll try a different adware remover. Thanks amp!

Check with the MS website, you can usually find out what the error messages are from and how to fix them.
