Know we have a team making drivers for the Voodoo2(Fastvoodoo), a team for the voodoo3/4/5 (Amigamerlin), and someone called koolsmoky who is enhancing glide, but mostly for the Voodoo3/4/5.
I was thinking about modifying, glide to for voodoo2 so that it will take more advantage from  newer Cpu's and that the Voodoo2 can work faster on it. And Offcourse a utilitie to modify it.
By modifying I mean changing sliders in display and stuff.

Well just as the Fastvoodoo drivers It will need a Team.
So everybody who thinks this is an awesome idea, or think it is useless post it here.

Before I forget, if glide is modified than we need the Fastvoodoo team
for support offcourse, So that the community can use it.

Note that I don't know about the work that the Fastvoodoo team has done concerning Glide2x and Glide3x.

If the Fastvoodoo team is already busy changing Glide2x and Glide3x, PLEASE TELL ME.

I'm really happy to see there are people still interested in improving 3Dfx Glide. The newest sources can be obtained from http://glide.sourceforge.net Please have a look at the TODO list and let us know what you can do.

He Koolsmoky I took a Look at the TODO list and saw that you wanted to merg Glide2x and Glide3x in one but how do you want to do that because how do you want to call the file.
Glide dependant programs needs files likeglide2x and glide3x, or I misunderstood and the meaning was to get the good stuff from glide2 to glide3 and tha other way around.
I think the other things on the list are needed. I can see that you work with Linux, I still work with Windows 98se because of compatibility and gaming. But I am thinking of Dual booting.

The Glide sources at sourceforge also work for the win32 platform. Check them out from the CVS and have a look.

The reason for merging Glide2x and Glide3x together is to eliminate duplicate code between the two. One way of achiving the task is to maintain a Glide2x-to-Glide3x wrapper. We're planning for something that works on all OS/platforms.
