Sorry for resurrecting an old topic - but I found this when trying to work out how to enable the 2x2 dithering on my V2 SLI with the koolsmokey driver, win2k. I've tried adding FX_GLIDE_NO_DITHER_SUB 1 in the registry but the dithering still isn't working. I want to play Deus Ex which is a dark game, but with all the little dots all over the screen instead of the classic smooth voodoo dither is horrible. Could anyone give me a clue? I wonder what I'm doing wrong

Has anyone else ever noticed this? I've seen it on more than one of my 3dfx cards over the years, just never thought much of it.

I've tried tweaking driver settings but nothing seems to stop it. This can happen on any map, on floors or ceilings. Anyone else noticed this before?
