Hello,

Recently I popped the heatsink off my 4500 and added on some better cooling, when all of the sudden it'll have vertical lines whenever characters or images are present (plain white text in the BIOS and prompt exhibit no artifacts).
I already baked the card in the oven to reflow it, and that didn't help. So, one, or some, of the VRAMs died.

I know there have been people who have replaced the samsung VRAMs with faster ones. Does anyone know which *exact* ones were used?
The original ones are: K4S643232C-TC60.

Hi hi hi
I just made a quick little video with instructions how to remove a voodoo 5 heatsink in the easiest manner:

Basically using compressed air to freeze the heatsinks & the awful STB thermal glue, and they pop off nicely.

You *should not* put the cards in the freezer like some folks did. These can agitate the hard-to-replace surface mount electrolytic capacitors (as well as the surface mount OSCON polymers to a degree).
