I think he mean "DirectX / OpenGL", maybe he got "DirectX 9.0 and run CoD2 @ OpenGL..., whatever else its a OpenGL Game"
He´s cheating, because CoD2 can´t run so fast on this machine, maybe with a AMD Athlon X-2 @ 19200 Mhz with a lot of Software
Emulated things... (Yes, 19.200 MHz (4x4800 AMD X-2 on a Server Board with a Quad-Adapter)

Thx, this Tower is made by Energy for the Special StarTrek Members, but nobody got it !
Now I found it at www.ebay.de and buy it for less money, Its a unicum :-)

I changed the Processor to a "Pentium III 500" / Slot 1, a Pentium II 400 (256MB R...) can handle WoW without Problems @ 30 fps with a Nvidia Geforce2MX!

80 GB ExelStore Drive
CD Burner (16x)
Sound Blaster Live
USB 2.0
Voodoo 3 3000 (16MB)

Iám a 3DFX Gamer since 6 years ^^
I got 2xVoodoo 2 SLI and so on...

Actually a World of Warcraft Server is running...

So wheres the problem ?

I want to go ingame with the Server as GM, but the Voodoo 3 don´t want to start WoW :-(

I read once a week in this cool Forum and found the World of Warcraft Voodoo 5 Thread...

So make it Sense to change the Voodoo 3 for a Voodoo 5 (5500, AGP) in my PC, and should I buy a Pentium III Board to change out the AMD ?

My Idea:
( Voodoo 3 3000 16MB AGP --> Voodoo 5 5500 64MB AGP ) ?
( Socket 7 Motherboard --> Slot 1/370 Motherboard ) ?
( AMD K6-2 (450 Mhz) ---> Intel Pentium III (500 or more Mhz) ) ?

I installed WinXP but when I use 1024x768 Resolution, lots of Red Points appear arround the Screen (Graphic Error´s). The Game UT is playable in Glide but looks a bit strange ! Like i Smoked something... I tried koolsmoky... v2 driver, I don´t know how to activate SLI :-/ so I used Voodoomage Igfx, Sli works but looks strange. Sometimes after I exit UT the PC restarts direct. So wheres the problem ? Direct 3D don´t work, too.
Should I use Windows 98 or is there an solution ? (I like 98, but the USB Support is Bad !)

Hi 3DFX Owners,
I have a PC with 2 3DFX Voodoo 2 Cards, one Diamond and one Creative with 12 MB @ 93 Mhz. Both work´s fine in SLI (1024x768 UT). But I have some Questions that I can´t find here ...
1. My System Info looks a bit corrupted, are the Numbers (8 MB MEM TEX?) ok ?



2. My two little Voodoo´s don´t work in SLI in Windows XP, the System Info shows "SLI ... Not Detected" :-/ Maybe there is an solution...

3. Can I run my 2 Voodoo´s in SLI in Suse Linux (For Example. 9.3) ?


I hope you can help me, Iám working at a Mini-3DFX PC, its very Small and fit in the most little Bag´s... when it´s done I send you some Piccs ^^

Iám searching a long time for a Voodoo 5 6000, but I don´t find the card @ebay or sth. else... Iám a great 3dfx Fan, cause mit first 3D Acc. was a Voodoo Banshee and she works pretty good. Now I have build and PIII 800 Mhz, 256 MB SD-RAM, 40 GB HDD, AGP... Machine. I wanna test the card in some Benchmarks like 3DMark 2001se and so on... In new Games like, Half-Life 2 (DirectX 6.0), Doom 3, Counter Strike...  But I havent got a Voodo 5 6000, maybe you can help me to find a card ? Crogge
