hi! linspire=linix?!?!?
never heard of that distribution!
you need glidelibs (from anywhere you want eg www.sf.net/projects/glide)
put them into /usr/libs
then in xorg / xfree configuration file choose "tdfx" as driver (if not installed, get it from dri.sf.net) and add to xorg/xfree config load "glx" load "dri" (section modules) and remove the "#" at the bottom of the config file from section dri. restart x, done
if youre lucky your system will see a voodoo5, if not then just one vsa100 chip will work

hi!
i just wonder if someone of you has the voodoo 5 5500 agp
running in linux with both chips activated.
in #dri @ irc.freenode.net they told me that for some peaple it worked in the past, but no one is working on the glide3 code for long time.
and i have read that lots of windows users use glide3 with mesa!!
and that is the only way to get 3d acceleration in linux. (dri->mesa->glide)
