hi to all. I have just a question - i have a voodoo3 3000 agp card and just think if it is possible to work along  with a creative blaster voodoo2 12mb installed in the same motherboard (which is legend qdi advance9 with via apollo chipset). can they cooperate? for example, like voodoo2 sli? and if they can, will my total video card memory to games can be considered higher? thanks!!!

I just wanted to mention that my cpu temperature is indeed 89 c (not fahreneit) and i possess this pc for about 8 years now! Do you think there's a possibility that my fan is not working? well, to tell you the truth, i am not even sure if i have a fan. Well...Nah! I don't have one!! 1)well, i checked my c-mos and saw the exact cpu speed adjustments. My current cpu speed is 633mhz (66x9,5) -what is 66x9,5?- There are also adjustments as 667mhz (66x10) up to 800mhz (66x12). What do you suggest? Can i put it to the 800mhz as it is or do i need additional cooling? And what fan do you think would be best? Coz my system is old enough and i may cannot be able to find any fan available. I also noticed some other things. In the cpu speed section i also saw an option saying: Jumper Emulation
              Multiplier x10
And something else i noticed is an option "Bus Clock" and another "Bus Clock +33mhz". Which one of the two would be better? One of the two must be selected at a time. Default selection is "bus Clock"
3)Do you have any idea what is a hard disk drive's s.m.a.r.t capability? i have this function disabled
4)My current system temperatures are 30 degreecs celsium and my cpu temp is 89 degr.c. Just mention them in case they help you

sorry again, what other universal agp cards do you suggest i try? around 2- 4x agp (i don't think 8x agp is worth of buying -i'd rather buy a whole new pc:D

hey, thanks friend. You guessed right, that't my exact motherboard. If i put into it an agp 4x card, for example the geforce2 or geforce 4 will the windows recognise it fully? i don't think so. For example if the card is 64 mb, will the windows xp and the mainboard  recognise it as 32mb? my ram memory is 256 mb at 100mhz frequency. Well, i guess i will keep my voodoo3 3000 and go on... i also have a celeron 633 mhz which i consider overclocking it with speedeasy program the qdi motherboard offers. what do u say? is there great danger of burning it? do you suggest i overclock aslo the voodoo3 with a utility? will it really make a defference if i synchronize it from 166mhz core clock to 175? thanks again pal

Hello to everyone. I need help and i will appreciate it if anybody answers me. I have an "advance-9" motherboard with agp 2x slot and via chipset. I have a voodoo3 3000 agp card installed on it but i am thinking of finding another card because it isn't supported anymore and i am tired of updating 3rd party drivers. What card do you suggest? is there a geforce2 mx/400 compatible?  what car do you think will reach "the limits" of this motherboard and exploit it mostly? Can i put an agp 4x card in it? sorry if i write mistakes. please, anybody gimme some tips.

SFFT, hello. I always admire your wonderful work with the drivers. I just wonder if you can, in the future, make a patch that helps voodoo3 cards run the game "enclave".  i used it with the ssft19 driver and 3danalyzer but got no results. just keep it in mind. many thanks and keep up the brilliant work

I heard it needs bluetooth. Can i overclock the card and put it on 175mhz? and if so, will i see any difference or not? does it worth the try and what speed do you suggest i put in order to ensure both good results along with my card's safety (i don't want to burn it) Many thanks and sorry if anything i 've just written is wrong. yep, i play it like hell these days. It's a very addictive game. Try it. Well, i use the sfft driver at 800x600, bilinear filtering and 16bit textures but it runs smoothly. sFFT IS THE BEST DRIVER I HAVE EVER PUT IN XP FOR THE VOODOO3 CARD. In Neverwinter, although the game is a bit slow, it runs without crashes. I used the mesafx -latest driver- along with a configuration patch that someone here told me to download. Well, that's it for now. I have to go. If you find any news about enclave, tell me ok? Have a nice day man!!!

ok, i run blood omen2 with the sfft driver COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. NOW THE ONLY GAME I CANNOT PLAY IS ENCLAVE -------- 3DFX FORUM RULLLEEEEZZZZZZZ. IF YOU FIND A WAY, YOU ARE A GOD

Well, i successfully run neverwinter nights on my pc (celeron 635mhz, voodoo3 3000 16mb, 256ram and directx8.1. (i work with voodoo series driver for xp without 3dfx tools). I know wonder if anyone knows how to run the videos of neverwinter nights (coz i can't view them but hear only sound). Is there any codec required or what?

Also, if anyone knows how to run blood omen2 without crashes? any tips? Coz althouh the game runs ok,it is fully playable only in chapter one. Then the game crashes and rebbots my system. And when i send an error report to microsoft, it informs me that the file 3dfxvs.dll is responsible for that.

P.s NIGHTBRID -I await for your help. And lastly, i installed the ssft drivers you told me but that made my pc display problematic and in the end i was forced to format the disc and reinstall xp.

hey nightbird, here's an interesting thing for you:

i tried to play enclave without the ssfx driver you mentioned (just with my modified 3rd party driver - as it is used to play neverwinter nights and blood omen 2). In Opengl selection, i received the following notes :"The Default Opengl ICD 'GDI Generic' is being used. Please install the proper drivers for your 3d accelerator card. if this is not the intent. Press ok to proceed" After this, the game crashes with the message : "MOS exception report
                           0000
                           0001"

In Direct3d selection, i get : ":could not create hardware acceleration direct3d device"
