Are there any (that you guys know of) officially build voodoo 2 based cards with 3 tmu's? The whitepaper says that it's possible to do, cause the voodoo 2 was designed for max 3 tmu's. Or do you guys know anyone that has tried to build such card?

Well, for as far as i know:

Voodoo 1 was sli capable with one tmu, they used the voodoo 1 tmu en frame buffer with one extra tmu on the voodoo 2 cards.

agp 2x in most cases means 3.3 v. Agp 1-4x means 3.3/1.5 capable. agp 8x means 0.8 and 1.5 v capable. So no agp 1/2x capability. This is why voodoo cards won't run on agp 8x busses, unless the bus is redesigned to be 3.3 v capable.

Voodoo 3 is a redesigned banshee core (non sli capable for as far as I know, nor was the banshee)

Correct me if im wrong on that last one, but the rest is true for sure.

Hello guys, I have a question for the Voodoo 4 owners. Does anyone of you guys own a voodoo 4 4000 card? If yes, is there anyone with pictures of this card to add to my site? The best picture I could find was this one :

Well guys, I have just bought a new system, with the radeon in it! The radeon didn't run on my bx board, because I couldn't get a bba card. So it was time for a new system. Unfortunately the voodoo 5 won't fit in this mobo But then again, when I want to test, I can still use the V4 pci.

As you all know, it's going very nice with my website. Thx to the info you guys gave me! It's time now to change the weird url (i-cey.net) to a .com or .net or .nl! Personally I like the .com. This is gonna cost me 12 euro's a year, which doesn't bother me at all! It's all for 3dfx!

So my question to you guys is: Do you guys think that the site name is ok? The Altar of 3dfx, which will result in the url www.3dfx-altar.com . Or do you guys think I have to name my site different? What name? What url? All suggestions are very much appreciated! This is also a site for you guys, so you may also decide!

What you could do is the following:

Check your ram chips on your card to see the fab and speed (probably around 8 ns that's -80 or so) and check for the number of the chip. Then search for a datasheet with that number or fab on google. Mostly pdf files, so you need acrobat reader. If you can find a datatheet, look voor de Vcc specs in the datasheet. If there's a pin described, you can use that pin. Maybe there's a picture that shows vcc for your chips... But it will be hard to find!

But why would you want to vmod your banshee ? You will most likely not get more than 135 out of those chips which is 8% performance increase, and you also need to oc your gpu for that... I would not recommend modding your banshee since it's not really notable.
