Nope not overclocked
Nothing running that would overclock anything.  My PCI bus seems to work fine.  The slot isnt burnt or anything.  The card was clean.  Case is very clean. The card was not hot.  The system runs very cool, for an Athlon 110 F Cpu temp about 100F case temp.  Plenty of air flow, sounds like a jet engine.

Hello

This is what my reg is for my card

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\3Dfx Interactive\Voodoo2\Glide]
"SSTV2_RGAMMA"="1.35"
"SSTV2_GGAMMA"="1.35"
"SSTV2_BGAMMA"="1.35"
"FX_GLIDE_SWAPINTERVAL"="0"
"SSTV2_FASTMEM"="1"
"SSTV2_FASTPCIRD"="1"
"FASTMEM_RAS_READS"="1"
"SSTV2_REFRESH_512x384"="60"
"SSTV2_REFRESH_640x400"="60"
"SSTV2_REFRESH_640x480"="60"
"SSTV2_REFRESH_800x600"="60"
"SSTV2_REFRESH_1024x768"="60"
"FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE"="2"
"SSTV2_SLIM_VIN_CLKDEL"="0"
"SSTV2_SLIM_VOUT_CLKDEL"="0"
"SSTV2_SLIS_VIN_CLKDEL"="0"
"SSTV2_SLIS_VOUT_CLKDEL"="0"

I think that is from my last driver I installed I cant rememeber which driver I know though under device manager that they were installed as 3dfxZone driver or whatever.
Then i put in that glide2x.dll.

I always had problems with my card with memmap error.  The card was in my other machine running windows ME on a older nvidia gf4 card.  It worked fine on that machine with the regular old 3dfx driver release.   Then I got the crazy idea to put it in my machine.  I probably should of tried installing the whole Koolsmokey packaged.  But the glide2x.dll was quick and easy I hate reinstalling those cards windows always freaks out when I try to change the drivers on it.

So let me know if those reg settings where fatal.  Or maybe it was just it's time to go.
I also have Ati driver of = Driver Packaging Version 8.071-041026a-018719C CATALYSTâ„¢ Version   04.11 with CCC

Here is the link.

I'm not blaming anybody.  Just want to know what happened to my system and to caution other people.

Is the glide2x.dll have mhz settings.  If so it must of been really high because x-24 are already clocked higher then regular voodoo2's

It blew up my X-24 just like that.

It worked for all of about 5 minutes and then smoke.

I used glide2x.dll from your post. Not sure if there were voltage hacks in it. If somebody has any idea what happened to my beatiful little x-24 please let me know

That's the version I installed, and that fix isnt really a fix.  It's the same Glide files that Quantum 3d final release.  That works great with a primary video card of a lower Radeon.

I posted a while ago that if you use the original glide files that quantum gave out and then use fast voodoo everything works. For older primary cards that is.

Oh well.
Still waiting for somebody to say their working on it in the next version of FastVoodoo :)
Thanks

Hey just checking in, I posted a little bit ago.  Has anybody figured out how to get the Quantum X-24 and the Radeon 9700 or other radeon higher then 9500 to work.  I just get MemMap Error or black screen when ever I try to run any 3dfx games or apps.  It's a bug with ATI Radeon Cards that are higher then 9500 I believe.  I setup a System with a 9100 and it works perfect.

Hows the next driver of FastVoodoo coming along and will that fix that major bug.

Untill then my pretty Quantum X-24 is in my computer just for looks.
Thanks

I am an owner of a Quantum X-24 and I have a problem with the Mapmem error.
My system is
AMD 2100 XP
MSI KT333 Ultra
512 DDR Cosair @ 333 Mhz
ATI All In Wonder 9700
Cat 4.4
SB LIVE 5.1
WinXP Pro SP1a
Direct X 9 b
Quantum X-24
I can not seem to get it to work with any drivers.  It has to be a problem with my Radeon 9700 because I have installed a working Quantum X-24 on another machine
That system is
A7A Asus 266
512 Corsair @ 266 mhz
Radeon 9100 64mb
Cat 4.4
SBlive 5.1
Direct X 9.b
WinXp Pro SP1a
Quantum X-24
I use orignial 3dfx Referance drivers for windows NT but I use the last Quantum X-24 Glide2x.dll file  The system works great!!!  100 Frames a second in all games I play.
I like to Play older 3dfx games like
Red Baron 3d UltraHLE  Whiplash 3d
These all use Glide2x.dll
I've tried the latest Gold 4.0 release and the "fix"  which seems to be just the quantum glide2x.dll file.  No luck on my machine with the radeon 9700.
If you could please help me i just bought it off ebay and really want to use it. Thanks

Voodoo2 Discussions / MAJOR Voodoo² Bug!
03 January 2004, 22:46:42
My Quantum3d obsidian2 X-24 works like a champ.  My system is a ASUS A7A266 with a AMD Athlon 1.0Ghz  512DDR rams FSB @ 266.  I have a ATI RADEON 9100 Cat 3.10.  Windows XP Pro with DX9.0b and SP1

I ran the Fast Voodoo 4.0 Gold.  I did not really like those drivers although it installed great.  The Glide2x.dll doesnt not work right for games that use Glide2x.dll.  It seems that that files just translates to Glide3x.dll?  Why is that? It ruins the game play for games like Red Baron 3d. It doesnt run well at all texture errors and all.   I use the orignial 3dfx Refrance drivers for windows NT and then use the last quantum Glide2x.dll that they released.  It works, an awesome 60FPS to 100FPS in Red Baron3d.
Also when I installed the Fast Voodoo 4.0 Gold horzital lines apeared when i was in 3dfx mode in resolutions of 640x480 and 800x600 but 1024x768 was fine.  I dont quite understand if anybody knows let me know.
 So I dont use Fast Voodoo 4.0 Gold
Anyways Just thought I'd let you know your Quantum3d X-24 can fly under WinXP
