NightBird:
Sorry for the multiple topics, I´ll try to be good in the future :)

SunGod:
I have resolved the missing checkbox problem, it only appears when using NTSC, so if it´s missing you need to reboot the PC using TV-out and have NTSC selected. I assume the the monitor is blank, so you need to work on your TV [ or use "Alt-F4" and do it blind]
I´ve only tried this route, could work rebooting it witout TV-out selected, but make sure NTSC is selected.

The reson for all this is related to your second problem, the weird monitor display.

So far my theory is this:
The TV-out and the VGA-out are using the same source, they are not independant of eachother. So the signal sent to the TV is the same displayed on the monitor. For that reson monitor displays a stretched image and the VooDoo card refuses you to use dual display in PAL-mode since it assumes the monitor can´t handle it (most can´t so it´s just making things idot proof)

Hope you understand what I´m getting at.

p.s.
My last hope is that I´m wrong, that there is a way of having PAL out on the TVoutput but still have a outpout to the VGA that it can handle.
One way out is two Video-cards [V]

I am wondering if this is really the case! That the TV-out option is not independent of the VGA out.

I´m using TV-out when playing movies to my TV. I have dual output i.e. both monitor and TV. My monitor gets a bit stretched and silly, can work since I only use the TV-out when not working on the PC just watching movies. but it´s not ideal.

However I only have the dual out when playing in NTSC mode, when I switch to PAL the card refuses to give me the option of dual out, probably smart enough to stop me since most monitors can´t handle it.

Since I have a second TV that does not support NTSC I just get black&white unless using PAL output. But then I can´t work on the PC since the monitor is blank (not in the same room as either TV)

So my question after all this writing and talking:
Is the output to the TV and monitor from the same source, not independent of each other like most modern ...and older, TV-out options.

Thanks

-VooDoo3 3500TV using Win98SE-
------------------------------

I get this to work with my card set to NTSC, then a second checkbox* is shown asking me if I want dual or single output. there I select to use both monitor and TV and it works fine.

When in PAL the only checkbox is "TV-out" that works fine but only a single output to the , the monitor remains blank.

p.s.
I belive I flashed my BIOS with a PAL version but nothing changed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

* The card does not show this checkbox in NTSC mode ?
To get the checkbox I had to set it to "NTSC" and select "TV-out" then reboot the computer (have to work on the TV screen when doing this ofcourse) since the monitor would be blank.

I´m using the TV-out on the POD, but not getting any audio on the audio connectors ...so I have my cable running from my TV to the "video-out" connector on the POD and then into the soundcard "line-out". Would be much nicer to have my cables to go strictly into the POD. :)

Is it possible to wire a audio input on the VooDoo card that will be output-ed to the POD, so when playing anything in a media player the audio will also be output-ed thru the POD via the VooDoo card. [?]

Hope some of you see what I´m getting at :D

Above I mention that I´ve managed to get the "other" check box to appear when using 256colors, that is not the case. I lost the check-box again when changing the "signal type" (fronm NTSC to PAL) And I can not get it back !!! [}:)]

The file Glide sent, Clone-TVout.zip, did not have any effect that I noticed, so still in troublew guys.
p.s. : What kinda affect should that registry change have Glide?

A update on my problem, ...I seem to be able to get the checkbox mentioned above to appear everytime, but only if I use 256colors.

So the status on my problem:

1-I get TV-out and monitor output at the same time, thats good :D

2-I have to run my pc in 256colors (could change it when I use TV out, but not very handy), Thats bad [}:)]

3-When using TV-out my monitor gets all "skewed" --- F**ked up resalution and a bit stretched  so I have to switch to TV-out when I´m about to use it. Can´t have it on, ready to go, all the time, thats no-good [V]

------
I am running Win98 on this PC, will try the above mentioned file.
Thanks for all the help Glide & Nightbird :)

Yes I want to be able to see the desktop on the TV and the screen simultaneusly. [8D]

That check box you mention was there, ...but is no more! [?]

This check-box enabled single output, when checked I would only get the TV-out. But lef unchecked I got both (the monitor in a very strange reslution, but TV worked fine - I could always go back to normal reslution when I stopped using the TV)
But for some reson the check-box isn´t there anymore [}:)]

So now if I stop using the TV, I need to navigate back using my TV-scrren to disable the TV-out option wich is kinda hard since they are in diffrent rooms !!!

Thanks thou for the help, ...hope you can help me out a lil more :D

I´m trying to use TV-out on my Voodoo3 3500. :)
Everytime I check the box to enable output to TV and click apply, my screen goes blank!  ...but the TV output is fine.

I should be able to have both, ...monitor and TV-out, right [?]

A reply below mentions a check-box that is for dual or single output.
I have seen that check-box, but not anymore [:(]

For some reson that checkbox disapears, with that checkbox visable I got the dual output, the monitor-screen changed into a strange resalution but it worked for me since the TV-out was fine. :D

But how can I get that check-box back, ...and get it to stay [}:)]
