Title: Gamma settings do nothing on certain games
Post by: grunw on 06 April 2003, 07:04:00
Is there any other way of changing the gamma settings for a voodoo2?

I ask this because gamma settings (I use last 3dfx drivers for win98) doesn't do anything in games like "Need for Speed 3", the game displays too dark and can't change the brightness at all.

Any idea? HELP!

well you can use :
SSTV2_BGAMMA : adjust Blue Gamma (0 to 1.95)
SSTV2_GGAMMA : adjust Green Gamma
SSTV2_RGAMMA : adjust Red Gamma

SSTV2_GAMMA : adjust global Gamma

but with a tweaker, things would be probably easier

I already tried altering the registry, adding "set SSTV2_GAMMA 2.0" etc.. to my autoexec.bat, using tweakers (that alter the registry, i think) and no result, need for speed3 ignores gamma correction settings for the voodoo2.

Any new idea?
