All I know is that demos sometimes are coded differently or maybe it is just my computer's age showing through,8 years old dell xpsr 450 but kicking still with celeron 1ghz. One thing, quake2max a upgraded quake2 graphics engine does not work with any new sfft drivers for some reason. It works with SFFT38 and down it seems. gives graphic error and locks up
