Ok, so here's the problem. My computer doesn't have a graphics card that can do TnL; it only has the intel 82845 chipset which is apparently not for gaming. After some extensive searching I stumbled upon 3danalyze, downloaded it (latest ver. of course), and tried to use it on some third-party steam games (Natural Selection). However, I cannot locate the executable for this game anywhere and use 3danalyze to tweak it. I looked everywhere I could ( under my steam/steamapps/acctname/half-life/mod folder ) If you guys know of any tricks or anything please tell me. Thanks.
that's because Steam unpacks the GCFs and allows you to play them.
