Title: DDR400 should go at what speed?
Post by: urielsd on 30 January 2006, 19:44:45
Hi! I recently bought 512MB DDR400 and when i run CPU-Z it says "Max bandwith 3200(200Mhz)"... Is this normal, or the vendor has cheated me?

edit: My specs: AMD Athlon64 3000+(S754), ASUS K8N4-E Deluxe(NForce4 Chipset), Win98SE
And please excuse my ignorance in this subject.

Hi,

Since you have DDR memory CPU-Z is correct.
Your memory uses both the rising and the falling
clock edges so you will have to multiply the
value from CPU-Z by 2. If you do that you get
 200 x 2 = 400mhz
So there is nothing wrong with your memory. ;)
