Title: Voodoo 5500 DVI Troubles
Post by: GetinakS on 29 October 2013, 16:37:52
I have a Voodoo 5500 MAC ( flashed with PC dvi-enabled bios ). My plans is using it as secondary videocard ( primary is ATI/Nvidia ( not integrated intel s**t ) with DVI output. I got a troubles - when i set bios to init voodoo first - my secondary card turns off by bios and i got intel integrated video instead of nvidia. When i set pci-e card as primary - voodoo doesn't init dvi correctly ( i've got something like "hello kitty" color scheme on monitor connected to voodoo DVI port ( on vga port there is normal colors ). My primary question - does anybody know, which registers in PCI configuration of v5500 is enabling & configuring DVI? Secondary - is it possible to enable DVI via 3dfx tools ( 3dfx tools told me, that i dont have monitor connected to dvi ), maybe someone have removed presence checks from 3dfx tools.
Thank you, and sorry for my awfull english

Hi GetinakS,

you're welcome here.

One question: if you phisically leave the Voodoo5 5500 only in your motherboard, does the card's DVI output work correctly?

Bye bye
