Title: Voodoo2 SLi in XP
Post by: sw96 on 27 June 2005, 05:38:13
Hi, I'm a noob here and don't know a whole lot about video cards so I hope you can help.

I downloaded FastVoodoo2_4.0_XP_Gold_Edition, plugged in my Voodoo2 cards, and installed the drivers as instructed by the help file. Now I can see the Voodoo2 cards in device manager but can't seem to boot up using them. I have the SLi cable and everything all plugged in and Windows seems to see everything fine. I tried taking my Radeon 9800 and played with some PCI settings in the BIOS but still can't seem to boot from the Voodoo2's... I'm not sure what to do next, would uninstalling my AGP card drivers and taking the video card out help?

Can't boot from Voodoo1/2. Voodoo1/2 cards are not standard alone video cards, its graphics accelerators only. To use them, you must use a primary card (ps your R9800), and connect them with the passtrough cable.
