Title: V5 5500 PCI @1920x1200 in Windows XP
Post by: Phobos on 31 December 2011, 14:19:07
Hi Folks!

Tried this week to get my old system (Athlon X64, ASRock Dual SATA 2) running again. Works fine so far, but i just can´t get a clear and sharp picture on my 24" screen (connected via VGA).
I´m using a flashed Voodoo5 5500 MAC PCI and tried several drivers (SFFT 1.9, Amigamerlin 3.1). Using lower resolutions is no real improvement eiter ...
What leaves me puzzled: Loaded a few times the latest Knoppix Version on DVD - this Linux build managed an uncomplicated voodoosupport and brings a way better image on screen. No flickering or unsharp letters and therefore no headaches.

Any hints for me?

Just for the info: The Timings in the driver .inf were wrong.
