Title: Can I use the new AMIGAMERLIN 3.1 with a Voodoo3?
Post by: ChrisH on 10 October 2004, 17:00:07
The 3dfxzone.it home page news banner reads:

AMIGAMERLIN 3.1: for Voodoo3/4/5 - Win 2000/XP ONLINE!

When I go to the download area the description says it is for Voodoo 4 & 5 only.

Can I use this with my V3?

I'm currently using the Amigasport 3.0 XP driver set.

Thanks,
Chris Hutchinson

I assume that just like the previous drivers, you'd need AmigaSport for your V3.

Or use the SSFT drivers for the Voodoo 3

This is the same core but of course don't forgot the limitations of your card (unluckily).

check the official italian topic (www.forumzone ... ..) the link it is in the news page (https://www.3dfxzone.it/news/reader.php?objid= x x x)

but, i can remember something like voodoo 3 AVENGER ?

PS: did u try SSFT's alpha driver for V3 (current alpha 14) ?
(u can keep AS3.0 installed and just replace 3dfxvsm.sys & 3dfxvs.dll from the SSFT driver set)
;)

Better performance with the SSFT 15 drivers than with the AS 3.0?
(I'm also using a V3 board under XP, see below)

What are the advantages?
Any tests-results/comparisons available somewhere on the boards?
