Title: Voodoo2 SLI freezes
Post by: San on 05 October 2008, 19:37:38
Hi!

I have 2 same 3dfx voodoo2 12mb cards.
I tried to setu both and one by one to run on my pc.
I am using windows 2k. Of course direct3d don't and will not work. i know.

But i tried to run glide game (StuntGP) it ran ok for about 30minutes and it stopped.
Next time for 25minutes. Now (from the package) donut freezes almos immidiately.

I tried to install legendgrafix, it changed nothing.

I tried to install only one card, downclock and other things.
I runned on one 3dfx as a standalone video card. it ran ok, without playing.

I tried to add some cirrus logic card.

Help me, please!

my stuff:
P3@933,
384MB,
Some S3 video integrated card.

Hi San,

welcome here.

Please uninstall the Voodoo2 driver and clean the windows registry too. Then turn off the system (no power to PSU!) and remove a Voodoo2 so you can test only one card at a time. At least turn on the system and install latest FastVoodoo2 driver for Windows 2000 (grab it here https://www.3dfxzone.it/dir/3dfx/voodoo2/drivers/windows2k/) and try to play GLide games to verify if crashes comes back.

You must repeat these steps with the other Voodoo.

So we can know if a Voodoo2 or both have hardware issues.

Let me know.

Bye bye
