Welcome to XCar Ver 1.0. This file
contains the latest information
that didn't make it into the manual.
If you are experiencing problems when
using a game pad or other non-
proportional input device, specify a
-A or -B on the command line when
runing XCar. XCar will treat your
joystick as a button and allow
smoother control over steering.
If you experience problems while playing
in Network mode, such as opponent cars
jerking or a loss of frame rate, the
person who initiated the game should
press the F12 key. This will attempt to
resynch all the machines and should fix
the problem.
In the TOOLS directory you will find
various extra support tools for XCar.
Included are:
TIREED.EXE - This is a tire editor that
lets you build a custom
tire and use it in XCar.
XPAINT - This is a stand-alone version
of the paintshop. It allows
you to paint cars without
the full game. There are also
utilities to copy your edited
cars into the game.
READTM.EXE - This is a utility that will
read and validate a special
file which is saved after
every race. READTM can be
used to validate games
submitted for an on-line
racing league or just to
"prove" a lap time or
finishing status.
Keep watching the XCar web site
(www.xcar.com) for the latest updates,
new tools, and utilities. |
