Thank you for playing the Shadows of the Empire Demo. We
recommend that you read this file to get the most up to date
information about installing, running and playing this demo.
Please understand that, since this is still a work in progress,
not all features or 3D support have been implemented in this
demo version.
Be sure to check the LucasArts website at www.lucasarts.com for
the very latest information related to Shadows of the Empire.

To launch the Shadows of the Empire demo, double click on the
file SOTE.EXE in the directory where you installed this demo.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
-------------------
Computer: 100% Windows 95 DirectX compatible computer
required.
Graphics Card: 3D Accelerated PCI Graphics card required.
Currently supported 3D cards: Diamond Monster 3D,
Orchid Righteous 3D, Hercules Stingray 128/3D,
Creative Labs 3D Blaster, Intergraph Intense 3D,
as well as other cards supported by the following
chipsets: 3Dfx Voodoo, Rendition Verite 1000,
Permedia 2 or other chipsets with similar or
better performance.
CPU: Pentium 90 or faster required for 3Dfx chipsets
Pentium 120 or faster required for other
supported 3D graphic chipsets.
Memory: 16MB RAM required.
CD-ROM: Quad speed CD-ROM drive required for the full
version of Shadows of the Empire. This demo
does not require a CD-ROM drive.
Sound Card: 100% Windows 95 compatible 16-bit sound card
required.
Input Device: 100% Windows 95 compatible keyboard, mouse, or
joystick required (joystick recommended).
Note: Microsoft DirectX 3.0a must be installed to
play Shadows of the Empire. It is available on
our website at www.lucasarts.com in the Updates
and Patches area under PC Utilities. (Just click
on File Library from the Main Menu, then Updates
and Patches.)
